The Silver Anniversary of Andrew Winch Designs

On the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, Andrew Winch Designs proudly celebrated their Silver Anniversary at One Mayfair in London. Hosted by Andrew, Jane and the Winch Designs team, the party was attended by family, friends, past colleagues, brokers and builders all of which have been close colleagues of the company over twenty five years.

With the delicious catering provided by Rhubarb and fantastic entertainment by the band and DJ group, The Gilev Showband, the dancing continued long into the night.

The past twenty five years have been a phenomenal journey for Andrew Winch Designs. Having started with our first project designing the Swan 36 sailing yacht, we are proud to have delivered over 60 unique projects! Amongst them some of the largest and most notable privately owned yachts and jets in the world!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have played such a large part in the success of what we do. There are still many friends who were unable to join us at the party, but we sincerely hope to continue with the celebrations as we move into next year...

INOUI: adj Extraordinary!

Having been in discussion with the Client for the past five years, Andrew Winch Designs are proud to now be involved in the interior design of this bright and contemporary 108' carbon composite sloop; our second sailing yacht collaboration with Philippe Briand Ltd, and our first with Vitters Shipyard.

Sailing yacht INOUI will be Andrew Winch Designs' thirty-third sailing yacht and our design will provide a seamless transition from her technical, leisure exterior through to her extraordinary interior.

Drawing on the past 25years of sailing yacht design experience, Andrew Winch Designs have maximised the available space onboard INOUI, and incorporated the leading edge in technology, synonymous with large motor yachts.

Refined architectural detailing such as visible stringers and frames will create an elegant feel; whilst chamfer edged joinery will add a crisp finish. From the outset the balance, colour and proportion of INOUI's interior has been vital to her design.

Internally, her design is set to be both vibrant and energetic. Against the striking backdrop of the rippled sycamore bulkheads featured throughout, a variety of textured fabrics in bright and bold hues will create a fresh interior that captures the spirit of the yacht.

In our first meeting with the Client, we were given three reels of cotton thread in the exact colours which would become the signature of the new design - lime, black and fuchsia. Adding only one further hue, a vibrant orange, the colour palate will be kept to a minimum and will be used as the zest of the interior throughout.

Due for launch in 2013, the powerful Sailing Yacht INOUI, will undoubtedly turn heads in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean super yacht races she is set to participate in.
