Andrew Winch Designs delivers a yacht fit for James Bond!
Published in the January 2010 issue of Architectural Digest and shortlisted for the Andrew Martin Awards 2009, Motoryacht Carcharias is one of Andrew Winch Designs latest deliveries. This unique semi-custom Pershing 115, was designed entirely with the Clients' love of speed, luxury and style in mind and the result is the epitome of the James Bond lifestyle!
With a sleek silver grey hull, Carcharias meaning baby white shark, moves through the water at a staggering 52 knots, four times as quickly as her namesake! The first boat to ever have computer controlled multicoloured lighting both internally and externally, she appears to visibly 'breathe' by increasing and decreasing the intensity of her coloured lights. Even whilst at anchor, her exterior pulses as the lights rhythmically change.
During the design process Andrew Winch Designs opened up the general arrangement creating a continuous space between the interior and the exterior. The generous main saloon, including bar and dining area, are focused on providing entertainment to guests and is complimented by mood lighting to create the perfect ambiance to enjoy evening cocktails at the bar.
Using a combination of natural woods, luxurious leathers and crisp metallic lines, Carcharias is a stylish and cutting-edge yacht unlike any other. We are so proud to have her in our fleet and we wish the Owner many happy seasons sailing her.

At this year's Fort Lauderdale Show the Winner is....
At this year's Fort Lauderdale Show, Motoryacht Slipstream was awarded not one, but two of the coveted International Superyacht Society awards for 2009! She was awarded both the Power Motoryacht of the year in the 40 - 65m category, as well as the prestigious Best Boat Interior 2009 award. Slipstream was unique at this year’s event for her multiple awards!
The International Superyacht Society award is recognised as one of the industries top accolades with the judging all decided by the industry. This year a total of 77 yachts were entered into the awards with a staggering 32 Motoryachts in the 40 - 65m class alone, making Slipstream's recognition all the more of an honour for both Andrew Winch Designs and CMN Shipyard.
Slipstream has proven to be a very successful yacht for Charter and has received a hugely positive response since her launch earlier in 2009.
With her distinct and streamline exterior design with stunning black hull and complementing silver superstructure, Slipstream appears to powerfully cruise through the waters. Her award winning interior is influenced by the ethnic crafts from the Pacific North West and Australia, appearing both strong yet beautifully refined.
We wish Slipstream a very happy winter season of charter and proudly congratulate her on her recent awards.
