Three Owners, Three Yachts

The Winter of 201/2011 saw the return of our first Luerssen and Andrew Winch Designs collaboration, motor yacht Aurora (ex MY Phoenix). Until she was bought in 2010, the 60m sleek and voluminous Andrew Winch Designs motor yacht, had been privately owned by her second owner for the past 6 years!

Following the success of her curvaceous and striking exterior and rich, art deco design; we were approached by her new Owner to design and fit her interior to their personal requirements whilst retaining her unique signature that had originally attracted them to her.

In November 2011, Aurora returned to the shipyard where she was originally built and underwent a beautiful winter refit.

A complete exterior repaint ensures that she will turn heads, wherever she cruises, whilst her interior has undergone dramatic artistic modifications. Although structurally remaining the same, Andrew Winch Designs have created custom designed carpets and soft furnishings, offering a very personal look, tone and feel to her new interior. Whilst a full complement of artwork was both sourced and designed by our team inhouse to complete her.

A stunning triptych of bespoke panels, each depicting an art deco inspired classical scene, now adorn the bulkheads by the Main Deck staircase and rise up to the Sun Deck. The results are bold and beautiful works of art, designed by Andrew Winch Designs and hand carved by highly skilled craftsmen in London.

IMAGINE - The First 212 Limited Edition!

Our collaboration between Amels Shipyard and Tim Heywood Designs has been a pleasure from the outset. Having previously worked together on separate projects, the opportunity to design and build a series together was an opportunity not to be missed. Jointly we have created something that cannot be found anywhere else and which we are immensely proud off.

On the 18th March 2011, the elegant 65.5m motor yacht Imagine was delivered to her Owner. The first super yacht to be delivered from the 212 Limited Edition she is a perfect example of the series design and quality of build.

Beneath the elegant lines of her Tim Heywood exterior, the 212 Limited Edition benefits from a vast interior volume. Her Andrew Winch Designed interior arrangement is designed to maximise all available space and provide an unrivalled level of flexibility for an Owner.

Imagine's interior exudes a calm and relaxing environment the moment one steps onboard. Brushed bronze detailing and immaculate edging is complimented by Eucalyptus, Teak and Wenge woods throughout; which is both fresh and contemporary.

Unique to other yachts of this size, the 212 Limited Edition has two VIP suites each with access to individual private balconies on the Upper Deck! Centrally located is a glass elevator, providing seamless access to all decks of the yacht, whilst large living areas for both the Owner and Guests offer the perfect lifestyle whilst at sea for a modern family. Unlike her sister ship, who is currently in build and due for delivery in 2012, motor yacht Imagine includes a Helipad ensuring she is accessible wherever she may sail.

We would like to wish MY Imagine and all who sail her, the very best for her maiden voyage and future cruises.
